COLLAGE

This piece depicts a riksja taxi in the streets of Manila, The Philippines. Using a lot of color and extreme clashing colors, this piece is most remarkable. The finished piece was oxidized using a special procedure that deteriorates the wool and keeps the silk untouched, apart from a slight decoloration. This procedure was performed at the end of its production. The result is a unique masterpiece with stunning, bright, lively colors and a unique 3D look. The touch is rather rough and worn out, adding to the drama of the whole design in this piece.

GOLDEN LEGENDS

As a worlds' first and after 5 years of research, TVR has started producing carpets using metal threads made of gold, silver and bronze. They were exclusively presented during the world renowned Salone del mobile show in Milan in 2018. The tradition of using these fibres for the production of rugs, dates back to medieval times, when carpets were intended as wall decorations.

PHOTOSPLASH

This piece depicts a riksja in the streets of Manila. The idea here was to create very light tone in tone colors making the the classic rug pattern more flowing and disappearing in the background. Also the size is different: it is a square piece. The only thing really jumping forward is the yellow strip which is the coloration on the side of the pavement. The result is a unique masterpiece with stunning, yet muted colors and a unique 3D look only visible under plenty of light, as the silk color color is silver and the wool colors are several greys.

RAINFALL

This piece depicts schoolchildren walking back from school in what looks like a rain of oriental rug pattern. As if the oriental pattern is falling from the sky and the children hide under umbrella's. The finished piece has an extra 3D effect by the hand carving that was performed at the end of its production. The result is a unique masterpiece with stunning, bright, lively colors and a unique 3D look.

FRENCH SAVONNERIE

Our first French Savonnerie carpets were made at request of Russian private client. They needed not only to be in 14/14 quality (300.000 knots per m2) but also in pure silk of the highest quality. Another part of the difficulty of the production was the amount of colors needed in the final carpet. some pieces had more than 45 different colors. They were needed to translate the beauty of the design in terms of color flow and nuances. 3 different shades of blue for example, to make a beautiful blue gradient in the design.

STEREOGRAM

Creative director Thibault Van Renne had the idea of using **a hidden stereogram** design in one of his new creations. This can be done using a stereoscopy, a visual technique, creating a hidden visual effect only visible when staring in the right way at a flat image. This would be a worlds' first and has never been done before.
