FLOWERS - NASTURCIA

Each carpet was woven in 14/14 quality (300,000 knots per m²) in pure silk of the highest grade. The central challenge was color: some pieces required more than 45 distinct shades, each calibrated to capture the flow, depth, and movement of the floral designs. Up to eight dye batches per color were produced to achieve the precise tone required.

Ten designs were developed; six entered production, each with its own unique pattern. The client refined colors more than 50 times on certain pieces before production could begin.

Carpet dimensions ranged widely. Among them (in centimetres): 620×500, 500×400, 460×360, and others.

At 300,000 knots per m², only the most experienced weavers in Rajasthan, with over 20 years at the loom, were engaged. Depending on format, production time ran between 10 and 16 months per piece.
