A relationship that begins, not ends, at delivery
A hand-knotted carpet is made to live with you for decades. We look after every piece we make, and many we did not, long after it leaves the showroom. Here is how we help.
Restoration and repair
Our repair station in Belgium restores hand-knotted rugs and kilims: re-securing fringes, rebuilding warp and weft, closing damage, reworking borders, and reviving older pieces. We assess each rug in person and tell you honestly what is worth doing.
Specialist cleaning
Hand-knotted wool and natural silk need a gentler hand than a machine-made floor covering. We clean to protect the fibres and the colour, lift dirt and stains, and treat against moth and insect damage so the piece stays sound. Cared for well, a TVR carpet lasts 20 to 30 years or longer, and across generations with attentive use.
Valuation and appraisal
For insurance, inheritance, or your own records, we provide written valuations that document a piece accurately: its design, materials, knot density, and current value. Useful when a single carpet represents a significant part of an interior.
See a piece before you decide
You are welcome at our showroom in Evergem, or we can arrange a private viewing on video so you can see colour and scale in your own light before you commit. For larger projects we bring pieces to the space.
