Why You Should Visit Our Showroom
A screen can't show you how silk catches light.
That's the simplest way I can explain why I always encourage clients to visit in person before making a decision. After 20 years of designing hand-knotted rugs, I know that no photograph. however well lit. captures what makes these pieces work in a real space.
What a Screen Can't Show You
Digital images flatten texture. A hand-knotted rug has depth. the pile sits at different heights, the wool has a soft sheen that shifts as you move around it, and silk catches light in ways that change depending on where you stand. On a screen, all of that becomes a flat rectangle.
Colour is the other challenge. Every monitor renders colour differently, and the colours in our rugs shift depending on the pile direction. Walk around a silk rug and you'll see it go from deep navy to almost silver in the space of a few steps. That's not something you can judge from a JPEG.

The Evergem Showroom
Our showroom is at Noorwegenstraat 51, 9940 Evergem, just outside Ghent. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the scale. Rugs look different when you see them laid out at full size, in natural light, with the space to step back and take them in.
We keep a rotating selection of pieces from our current collections on display. You can see the actual weave density, feel the weight of the wool, and compare finishes side by side. things that are impossible online.
Bring Your Floor Plan
I always tell clients: bring your floor plan and bring your fabric samples. A rug doesn't exist in isolation. it has to work with your floor, your furniture, your walls. When you see a rug next to your actual curtain fabric or upholstery sample, the right choice becomes obvious in a way that browsing a website never achieves.
If you have architectural drawings or interior renders, bring those too. We work regularly with architects and interior designers, and we're used to thinking about how a rug fits into a larger scheme.
Over 1,200 Colour Options
If nothing in the current collection is quite right, we design bespoke. We work with over 1,200 wool and silk colour options, and we can adjust any design. scale, proportion, colourway. to fit your space exactly. In the showroom, we can lay out colour cards and yarn samples so you can see them in natural light, next to your own materials.
This is where bespoke decisions get made. Choosing between two shades of grey on a screen is guesswork. Choosing between them when you're holding the yarn in one hand and your fabric sample in the other is straightforward.
Private Consultations
We offer private consultations by appointment. That means uninterrupted time to go through options, discuss dimensions, and look at materials without feeling rushed. Whether you're furnishing a single room or working on a full residential project, we give the process the time it needs.
You can also bring your architect or designer. Many of our projects are collaborative. the client, the designer, and our team working through options together.
20 Years of Collections
I started designing hand-knotted rugs in 2006, and pieces from every period of that work are either on display or available to view on request. You can see how the collections have evolved. from the early classical influences through to the contemporary work we're doing now.
There's no substitute for seeing the range in person. Each collection has its own character, its own materials, its own story. Walking through them gives you a sense of what's possible that a catalogue never quite manages.
