Tenby, recognised at the 2026 Architizer A+Product Awards
In early May, a note arrived from Architizer's editor. Our carpet LEGENDS — Tenby had been selected as a Special Mention in the Carpet & Flooring category of the 2026 A+Product Awards. I read it twice before I let myself believe it.
We were asked to keep the news quiet until the public announcement. That date has passed, so I can finally say it plainly: Tenby has been recognised as one of the world's best products this year.
What the recognition is
The 2026 A+Product Awards Special Mentions were selected by Architizer's jury — practising architects and designers from renowned firms around the world. It is the largest awards programme in the world for architecture and design, and the jury looks at thousands of products across every category.
For a single hand-knotted carpet to be named among them is not a small thing. These are the people who specify what goes into the most considered interiors being built right now, and Tenby read, to them, as one of the best.
The carpet — Tenby, from LEGENDS 2026
Tenby is one of the designs in our LEGENDS 2026 collection, the collection we developed for TVR's twentieth anniversary. The idea behind it is rooted in our original LEGENDS 2013 collection — but the two are distinct collections, thirteen years apart, and Tenby belongs to the new one.
Like everything we make, it is hand-knotted by hand on a vertical loom, in wool and silk, finished by hand in the regions where it is woven. The award recognises a design; what sits underneath it is the same craft that goes into every piece that leaves the atelier.
Why this matters to us
We have never designed for awards. A carpet has to earn its place on a real floor, in a real room, for fifty years — that is the only jury that ultimately counts.
But recognition from architects and designers tells me the work reads the way we intend it to, at the highest level of the field. That is worth pausing on, and worth thanking the jury for.
You can see Tenby and the full list of our recognitions on the Awards page, and the wider anniversary work on our LEGENDS collection. To everyone who has trusted us with a floor over these twenty years — thank you. This one is shared with you.
