Thibault Van Renne opened the carpet design studio in Gediminas avenue, Vilnius. Due to its unique, sophisticated design, where classic patterns revive in modern forms and exceptional colour combinations, Thibault Van Renne handmade carpets of exceptionally high quality come up to artworks. This inspired the TVR team to create the Vilnius showroom interior with the aesthetics of an art gallery.

“Personal acquaintance with the brand founder and the creative director Thibault Van Renne over the years has grown into the partnership expanding the international business,“ tells Tomas Tekorius, the head of international development. The business partner claims that having the flagship store of the company in Ghent, which exists for twelve years, and developing elaboration of Thibault Van Renne carpet design studios in 20172019 in Moscow, Shanghai, London and Dusseldorf, Vilnius was selected as a strategically convenient place in Baltic region.

The number of TVR brand stores is constantly increasing primarily due to ensured convenience for clients. It is complicated to make a long-term investment in a carpet, which is equal to an artwork, by choosing it from the catalogue or the website: there is a wish to see such product in reality, to touch it, to evaluate how does it look in the concrete interior, and finally to select ideally suited colours, size, shape. Therefore, physical sale points are needed. We want that the product of the highest design quality would be available for evaluation in reality, not only virtually. Thibault Van Renne seeks that every client could select the product perfectly suitable for him/her or to create their own unique piece,” says T. Tekorius.

Thibault Van Renne, the founder and creative director of the brand, agrees that a luxury carpet should be felt, touched, and seen in reality to become aware of the quality, the colors and the overall look in daylight. “In a time where almost everything is sold online, TVR goes against the stream and continues to open new physical showrooms,” – explains T. Van Renne.

Tomas Tekorius, the representative of Thibault Van Renne in Lithuania, is pleased to have an opportunity to provide clients, interior designers, decorators, architects of this country with an exceptional product, which has no equal in the local market. “There was a wish to introduce new possibilities, new quality and new attitude to the aesthetics of interior design,” added T. Tekorius.

T. Van Renne perceives, that many people may be surprised by this destination. But he believes, that Lithiania is a very promising and growing market: the will to succeed and to grow economically is very strong in Lithuania. “Vilnius hosts the annual LOGIN Startup Fair, the biggest startup event of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe. The flourishing Vilnius Tech Park is the biggest technological startup hub in the Baltics, boasting a growing community of over 700 entrepreneurs and business development partners. Lithuania has the fastest internet speed in Europe. Vilnius is one of the seven cities connected by “Rise”, a global FinTech network established by Barclays in an effort to improve financial services globally. Lithuania is considered by some as the next Silicon Valley, it hosts #LAUNCH, the biggest young business forum in the Baltics which also takes place in Vilnius. We believe Lithuania is ready to take the next step towards the future, with the greater availability of luxury goods,” – this was the greeting speech of T.
